My Health Record

We encourage all our patients to sign up for My Health Record, a secure online summary of your key health information.

My Health Record allows your healthcare providers to quickly access important details about your medical history, helping to support safer, more coordinated care—especially in urgent or after-hours situations.

Benefits of My Health Record

  • Better continuity of care – your doctors can see important information like medications, allergies, and past results

  • Safer treatment decisions – reduces the risk of medication errors or missing information

  • Convenient access – you can view your own health information anytime

  • Support in emergencies – critical information is available when you may not be able to provide it yourself

How does it work?

With your consent, your GP can upload key documents such as:

  • Shared health summaries

  • Event summaries

Relevant test results will be uploaded by relevant pathology or imaging organisations (not by your GP).

This helps ensure all members of your healthcare team are working with the most up-to-date information.

You remain in control of your record and can manage access and privacy settings at any time.
